Theres no question that Charly and I love to travel, but with how are lives are set up at the moment, we haven’t been able to get out of the city much. Nevertheless, where there’s a will we will most definitely find a way to enjoy ourselves. #WeLikeToHaveFun :)
We needed a break from our regular routine, so this week I booked us a one-night staycation at Hotel Peter & Paul; a local subtly chic boutique hotel in New Orleans. We had one of the most beautiful hotel rooms that I’ve ever stayed in [hands down]. From the decor to the hospitality, our experience was magical. We had tickets to attend the JAMNOLA pop-up instillation a few blocks away from the hotel. Before heading over we stopped by Sundae Best and enjoyed some locally sourced handcrafted ice cream. The shop is conveniently connected to the hotel so it was along the way. After the exhibit, we enjoyed some fine dining at Peter & Paul’s in-house restaurant The Elysian Bar. There we shared delectable bites by Chef Alex Harrell, a friend and former colleague of Charly’s. Each dish was delightfully flavored and beautifully plated. This staycation was exactly what we needed. Every staff member made us feel like royalty, because well…WE ARE :)
